Using cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake, Matillion and AWS Sagemaker TUI Hotels & Resorts has build a large-scale environment that enables tailored scoring for millions of customers in a few minutes at very low cost.
Kai Wolffram, Head of Global Operations & Analytics @ TUI
Kai Wolffram is the Head of Global Operations & Analytics for Hotels & Resorts at TUI – the world’s leading travel company with +20Mio. customers per year. Kai leads the Analytics Center of Excellence for all own hotel brands of TUI with +300 hotels worldwide. Together with his team he is E2E responsible for the whole Analytics value chain. In parallel to this role Kai is also responsible for the global Operations of Hotel Infrastructure including customer facing technologies like WIFI or Digital Signage.
Kai has +15 years of both travel and IT experience and went through various internal roles from Service Management, Program Management, Development Lead for large international teams and many more. For the last five years Kai has focused on Analytics and Data Science and operated the largest Datawarehouse at TUI for the last three years. Starting Oct 2018 Kai started to lead a new centralized team for all TUI hotels and introduced a new global and central Datawarehouse using latest cloud technology like Snowflake and Matillion. He has been awarded by Snowflake for the best Greenfield project in EMEA in 2019.
When Kai is not working he just loves to spend time with his two kids, his wife and his dog in the south of Hannover.
